Hezbollah: Iran's Israel Strikes Meant to Enforce Lebanon Ceasefire
"The Iranian response represented a message of moral, political and field commitment toward Lebanon," Hezbollah said in its first reaction to a day of exchanged strikes between Iran and Israel following Israeli attacks on Beirut.
The group linked the Iranian assault to simultaneous action by Yemen's Houthi movement, describing the coordinated effort as a united front designed to "deter Israel."
"Iran's support confirms Tehran's standing alongside Lebanon," Hezbollah said.
The Iran-backed group also took aim at certain domestic voices, warning that some official Lebanese positions toward Iran "do not serve Lebanon's interest."
Hezbollah renewed its demands for a full Israeli pullout from Lebanese soil, the safe return of displaced residents, and comprehensive reconstruction of war-ravaged communities.
"These issues remain at the core of national priorities," Hezbollah said.
