Iran Fires Missiles at Israel as Regional Tensions Surge After Beirut Strike
Iran’s state broadcaster confirmed the missile launches and warned that strikes could continue if Israel retaliates or maintains its operations in Lebanon.
Israeli media reported multiple waves of incoming missiles. One broadcaster, said the assault included around 10 ballistic missiles in total, including a concentrated volley of four.
Early reports suggested damage in the city of Tiberias, while operations at Ben Gurion Airport near Tel Aviv were temporarily suspended as a precaution.
The Israeli military said its air defense systems intercepted the incoming missiles, later claiming that all projectiles were successfully shot down.
Residents reported hearing explosions over Haifa and Nazareth as interception systems activated, according to reporting from the ground.
